Camp Blizzard

March 9th, 2008

Along with the rest of the Midwest, Camp Livingston experienced a blizzard this past weekend. The entire camp is covered with a blanket of snow, including the Menorah. It is a very different picture than what we see over the summer, as always everyone is looking forward to the warm summer months!

March 4th, 2008

Meet your 2008 Unit Heads:

mirt
Tasha (Golan) and Miranda ( Chalutzim)

Tasha: Hello everyone! My name is Tasha Sharer and I am so excited to have the privilege of being your Golan unit head this summer. I will be a junior at the Indiana University majoring Elementary Education next school year and am originally from Lexington, Kentucky and this is my 11th summer at camp. We’re already coming up with a lot of great ideas and fun activities for the summer. I can’t wait to get to know each one of you and hope you are as excited as I am to get the summer started! See you soon!

Miranda: Hey everyone! I’m Miranda and I am so excited about this summer! I am currently a sophomore going to Indiana University majoring in Journalism with a minor in French. This summer will be my 12th summer at camp and I cannot be happier spending it as a Unit Head! I have so many fun activities planned for the summer and can’t wait to start the best. summer. EVER!

Jamie
Jamie- Massada

Jamie: Greetings! My name is Jamie Fishman and I thrilled to be the Masada unit head for 2008! This will be my 10th summer at camp, and I very much anticipate it to be the best yet! Originally from Cincinnati, I am currently a sophomore at Kenyon College in Gambier, OH where I study Classics. Believe it or not, I have already started planning some exciting activities for Masada, as well as trying to perfect Dan Grabel’s famed ‘MA-SA-DA’ call. Over the next few weeks when you see that lion of Winter overtake the helpless lamb of Spring, remember that we are only a few short months away from Camp Livingston … I hope you are ready!
